Do Over!

August 22, 2008. Volume 1, Issue 18

I Call a Do Over!

Can I do that? Call a summer do over? Maybe if we all say it at once?

If only it were that easy. I haven’t seen enough sunsets over Mecox yet! I only went to Splish Splash once and I wanted to swim with the Sting Rays at Atlantis!!!! I was robbed! The month of August was taken from me like a thief in the night!

It can’t be over….you know what this means? It’s time to get organized, time to be an adult again. School is around the corner and it all starts with cleaning out the trunk of your cars and the basket of “summer stuff” on the back porch. We call this HK lost and found, so if anyone sees anything they would like or can match up…please let us know:

*
*1/2 bottle of sunscreen, with sand-encrusted cap;
*one yellow beach pail with no handle;
*one broken red beach shovel;
*one melted, flattened bag of cotton candy from carnival in June (note to self…never let kids ever eat cotton candy again!);
*2 dead glow in the dark necklaces;
*one beach towel…not one of ours….;
*library book…..I thought I dropped that off on the way to The Parish Art Museum!!
*one left Merrell sandal…size 2 toddler….(I don’t even have a toddler!!!!);
*jump rope with one handle;
*2 tennis balls;
*kite string;
*3 Kadima paddles….but no Kadima ball…EVER!

So we say farewell to yet another amazing Hamptons summer and hello to our fall season. And if anyone knows of a beach that has a shortage of sand, please let me know, I think it’s in the back seat of my car!
